Chiropractic means “by hand.” We work with our hands to relieve pain by releasing areas of stiffness and restricted joint motion. This safe, effective method has proven to be superior to medication, rest or physical therapy in study after study for the relief of back pain.

Physical Agents

Heat, electric stimulation, and ultrasound are helpful adjunctive therapies to chiropractic care. They relax musculature, decrease inflammation, promote healing, and help interrupt the pain cycle.

The American College of Physicians has issued new guidelines for managing back pain: Chiropractic care, Acupuncture, and Massage Therapy are the top recommendations. Opioids are discouraged.
